Back in 1998 to 2001, Spandlers operated the Great Yarmouth railhead, made possible from a £60,000 grant from the Rail Facilities Grant. Sadly, the experimental service was uneconomic but the handling facilities are available for other uses.

Road Access: The Great Yarmouth Rail-head is situated on the strategic A47 trunk route from Great Yarmouth to the Midlands. The A47 is a designated Trans European Network and access to the terminal is via a new Highways Agency-designed access-spur.
